I've lost somewhere around 10 lbs, so I've got about 35 pounds to go. For as long as I've been going at this, 10 lbs doesn't sound like much, but it's 10 I haven't gained back. I made it past one threshold, and before I go back to the LEARN program at work in the Fall, I'd love to pass that next threshold. emoticon With me, it's all attitude. I generally don't like to be told what to do, so having to tell myself I can't eat like a football player makes me resentful. I've had to do a lot of soul searching to discover what I really want, and that's to be strong at a healthy weight. I'm almost 60, so I don't believe I'll achieve what a 40 yr old can, but I'd like to be fit for my age. emoticon I want to be able to enjoy my retirement in a few years!

I like your attitude! I get resentful too...and bogged down...and a little jealous sometimes...HOWEVER when I really sit back and look at where I am and WHO I am I realize that I have nothing to be jealous of...I have things that the people I am jealous of don't have (and vice versa)....I am really happy for you that you are headed for your goals and you are totally realistic (BUT you can probably do more than THIS 40 year old!! ;-)!!!)
