Peanut Butter Pie...sigh...

Sunday, July 17, 2011

Picture it...3rd shift..in the cafeteria. No one is really expecting much. Third shifters get the short end of the culinary stick. Fried foods, unidentifiable foods, foods with congealed substances on top, or foods floating in gray water. YUM, right?

I head over to get the only thing worth eating and won't go over my calories...Garden Vegetable Soup. I see people FLOCKING over to one area like someone was giving away cash. I head over to see what they were all grabbing at... and there it was...PEANUT BUTTER PIE!

Third shifters don't get to see stuff like that. It was like God was shining His light right down on it. Hey, it doesn't take much to make us happy at 2 in the morning.

Alas, I walked away with my vegetable soup. As much as I wanted some of that pie, I decided it's not worth the guilt or the calorie deficit later on. Im glad all my co-workers enjoyed their pie. Im sure I'll enjoy getting to under 200lbs by September more than that pie.
