I think I've been sabotaging my weightloss progress

Friday, July 15, 2011

This morning I hopped on my scale to view my weightloss, and did I get a slap in the face. When I weighed in on July 1, 2011 I weighed 176.6 lbs, when I weighed today (7/15/2011) my weight is at a stand still. Yes I'm glad that I haven't gained any, but I'm sad that I haven't loss any either. I've been eating 1200 calories a day and burning 3800 calories a week. Maybe I need to eat the highest end of my calories suggested by SP which is between (1200 -1550) and calories burn ( 2400) per week. I need some advice on this problem, because I at least want to lose 5 lbs for this month.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon

Yup- eat more. Aren't you starving? I try and eat on the high end because, like you, my calorie burn is so high. Eat every couple hours and it will come right off, believe me! You'll also be less likely retaliate by over eating if you eat more regularly. I'm a sucker for 3 low cal days and then a gorge! emoticon

First, I'm no expert!! That said, my suggestion is varying your calories. A physician once told me she ate the low end of calories during the week and the high end on the weekend, and she felt like it kept her body from going into starvation mode.

also, I don't know what you are eating, but are you getting a lot of salt? You might put sodium on your tracker and try to keep that low. High salt will cause you to retain fluids. When I travel, restaurant meals are loaded with salt and I put on 2lbs every time. When I go back to my own cooking (or my DH's really!) I lose the 2lbs over night.

And my final advice (and I always say advice is worth what you pay for it!) be proud of what you have done and don't beat yourself up over a bit of a stall out!
