Wow, only 35 pounds to goal! That feels really close. Whew!


And I was SO excited to see another 5 pounds come off these past two weeks. This more than makes up for losing only one pound the prior two weeks. But any loss is progress and to be celebrated, but DANG! 5 pounds! Yea, baby!


Even more exciting is my progress in the measurement department. Inches have melted all over in the last month (1.5 inches off my bust, an inch off my waist and hips, a half inch off my thighs and calves). But here is a recap of my measurement changes since the beginning (January 1, 2011):

emoticonHips: 54 in to 44.5 in (-9.5 in)
emoticonNeck: 15.5 in to 14 in (-1.5 in)
emoticonThigh: 27 in to 21 in (-6 in)
emoticonCalf: 18 in to 16 in (-2 in)
emoticonUpper arm: 14 in to 11 in (-3 in)
emoticonBust: 47 in to 38.5 in (-8.5 in)

Plus, my energy level is UP and my stress level is DOWN! I'm sleeping much better than before and overall just have a better outlook on life. (And I cannot forget about the doc telling me I have "an athletic heart" earlier this week.)


One more thing...

I really think that taking on the "5K Your Way Rookie Running Challenge" has been one of the best things I've ever done. Each week, as I tackle each new challenge to increase my running time, it builds my confidence. Also, I can really see my body shape changing (for the better) from week to week as I run more and more. I was really nervous about joining this challenge (kept putting it off) but I am so glad I did.
