It's been a while since I've blogged. I'm kind of disappointed with my lack of dedication to the blog and spark teams. However, I can't say the same about how I've been doing with my eating and exercising.
When I began this sparkpeople thing 6 months ago, I wanted to go from 214lbs to 180lbs. That changed to 165lbs.
I'm now at 150lbs.
I can't go any lower or else I would be passing up the healthy mark and be unhealthy the other way around!
My priorities now shift. I have to start building muscle. I mean, I've been weight training since the beginning, but now that has to come to the forefront of my efforts. It's difficult because I really do not enjoy lifting weights. However, I have a friend that recently came back from trip to Turkey. To entertain himself he had begun exercising, and now that he's back, he wants to join a gym, so we gon' do that. Hopefully that'll be some motivation!
I've also been tossing around the idea of taking some MMA classes to help toughen up. The last thing I want to be is a scrawny wimp. I think it'd be fun . . .
I don't know what maintaining my weight will be like, but I think I can handle it. I don't look at food the same way as I used to. I don't see food and think "Oh my God, that looks so good" my first thought is always "Is that good for me?" I just can't bring myself to eat certain foods anymore and I don't suppose that's really a bad thing.
So to whatever the future brings, I'm ready.
