First off, I have to tell you all that I am SUPER excited about one small thing that is a big achievement in my life:
******* I did not have ANY type of dessert yesterday!!!! *******
Ok, so that probably sounds really lame, but for someone who could do nothing but eat sweets all day, it's a major thing! Last month while hubby and I were on vacation, my brother stayed at my house and made the comment, "you have chocolate everything, don't you?" Um, yeah! I have one entire cabinet that is dedicated to nothing but different brands and types of chocolate, my freezer is full of ice cream & frozen chocolate, the refrigerator has a tub of chocolate syrup, chocolate pudding, etc. and let's not even get started on the pantry. I haven't gone a single day without at least one dessert in at least 6 months... until now. Yesterday I said to myself, "I want to go one day without eating dessert & I CAN go one day!"
And you know what? I feel GREAT! When I did my work out this morning, I felt like I was full of energy & at times I felt like Jillian's pace was waaaay too slow for me. Maybe the two aren't directly related and it could just be psychological, but I am almost positive that what I ate yesterday affected how well I slept last night and how much energy I have today.
There's no way I'm going to make some big promise to myself like, "I'll never eat dessert again" or "no more dessert for a year." I'm not ready for something like that and it would just set me up for failure; however, one little step at a time I am on my way to getting my body back to where it needs to be and I am so proud of myself for sticking to it!
30 DS level 1, day 4 down! Today's exercise accomplishment was shared above. SO MUCH MORE ENERGY! I felt like the work out went so fast and was much easier! Thanks to those of you who gave suggestions yesterday on how to make the 30DS more interesting! I muted Jillian and turned on Pandora to listen to other workout music. Worked like a charm!
