I missed church this morning. I have problems with my left shoulder and the muscles in that arm above the elbow. I was asleep one day with that arm stretched out and Princess jumped on the bed and landed on it at the shoulder. My back was hurting today too. I tried to sleep most of the day so I didn't notice the pain. Hubby had warmups of pot roast and vegetables (celery, onion, potatoes, turnips and carrots) and woke me up for meals.
This evening about 6 PM, I couldn't take the pain, so I showered, put on my bathing suit and got in the pool. The water temperature was 80 degrees and the air temperature was about 79 degrees, I did some water aerobics and loosened up then did some swimming . When I finished with my swimming, I dressed and took Princess for a walk.
I ran into a lady I had talked to last year when Cinnamon was alive. She asked me if Princess was Cinnamon and I told her, "No." She had gotten another rottweiler too. Her dog had cancer in its hips, Cinnamon had it in her left shoulder. Her rottweiler is a female that weighs 125 lbs. named Haley. In the dark, her rottweiler reminded me a lot of Cinnamon. She said there are people with pit bulls that will stand across the street with their dogs to taunt her rottweiler. It is a shame what people think is funny.
As for last night and the cops being across the street: My son told me he was going across the street to play cards. This was the family whose special needs daughter passed away last year. He was over there a good while, then we began to hear people talking in loud voices. That is rare around here. I went out on the porch and could see that an argument had broken out between the group gathered there and their next-door neighbors. I could also see my son in with the group. It escalated and two of the men were going to fight in the street. When the one man went into his house (he is the one that gives us free wood), I didn't know if he was going for a gun or what would happen. My son got in front of the other guy that wanted to fist fight and tried to push him back. The other guy came out and he had gone to get his shoes. His wife began pushing him to keep him from throwing a punch. The police showed up and talked with both groups. I didn't know it, but the police had been there earlier because of a noise complaint. I was upset with my son that he wouldn't just come home and get out of the fray. He said he was trying to be the peacemaker between the two groups and was trying to keep an assault from occurring. Both men that were going to fight probably outweighed my son by 50 or more pounds. He could have been picked up and tossed aside by either one of them. I just hope things will be resolved, some hurtful things were said in anger and I don't know that either will apologize to the other one.
The police stayed a little while to make sure both groups went into their houses and my son came home. I was upset at my son's stupidity. He said nobody had drank that much. When tempers flare, you just don't know what is going to happen or if someone has a weapon. Thank God, it was all verbal. I told my son that we have to live here, probably for the rest of our lives, and that I didn't want in any conflict between neighbors. I definitely was too upset to try to write a blog. I had some sugar-free chocolate and I was fine, lol!
