Returning to an almost normal life

Saturday, July 09, 2011

I am pleased with my week. I've made progress from those disabling Synvisc injections. I've tried to work my knees hard, yet not over-do. While it isn't realistic to compare this experience with a total knee replacement, I've tried to follow a similar rehab program.

"Train that/those knee/s like you're training for the Olympics."

"Work those knees like they are your only job."

My only regret was not getting on the elliptical 48 hours after the injections. I could not have walked to the car anyway.

Improvements I am still working for: a smooth gait when I walk and to sleep without pain.

Best of luck for you! I noticed you have turbo fire wallpaper. Were you or are you doing that program?

This was absolutely NOT a fun time for you. My Aunt just had both knees replaced a few months ago and has been struggling to get back in the game. of course, she is 77. It's just a little shot, right? HA! not! i sure hope i never have to get this done LR, but if i do, i am coming to your house so you can kick my butt back into gear!
Praying for a FULL recovery for YOU!!! and that you dont have to go through this again!
