Why are the first few days of getting back into an exercise routine soooooo hard??? I am determined! I just finished 30 DS, Level 1, Day 2. The difference between day 1 & day 2 is that on day 2 your body is still sore and aching from day 1, so it makes it that much more difficult to want to push through, but I did it!
The exciting news is that last year it took me until day 5 or 6 before I could do both sets of push ups the regular way without having to drop to my knees, but I am happy to say that this time by today (day 2) I could do all the man push ups. That's got to count for something!
2 days of shredding down, 28 to go, and I have about 6 1/2 weeks to do it in.
This weekend is going to be hard because tonight I have a wedding rehearsal, then rehearsal dinner, spending the night with the bride, wedding all day tomorrow, then will be taking a 2 hour road trip Sunday morning to go see grandparents for my great-grandmother's 90th birthday & we won't be back until late Sunday night. I probably won't be shredding again until Monday.
I am one of those "hurry up and get it over with" kind of people. I'd rather sprint than run a marathon, I'd rather have 2 minutes of excruciating pain than 2 hours of dull, aching pain. This living healthy journey has made me stop and realize that in order to live healthy I have to change my lifestyle and habits for good. It's not just something that I can do for a few months and then it's over and I can go back to sitting on the couch all the time, eating chocolate and ice cream for every meal. This is SO hard for me! I want to get it done and get it over! However, I am motivated to stick with it, even if I fall off the bandwagon for a little while here and there. I want to be a healthy wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend, and a HEALTHY WOMAN! I WILL do this!
