Aloha Everyone! Enjoy the love, laughter, and limelight that is yours today. Give God all the glory!
PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Awesome God! Show us how to take our stand against the devil's schemes. Grant us the ability and will to fight our modern, evil giants. We may not have stones to sling at them, but You have equipped us with weapons that You have provided: The Name of Jesus; His Powerful WORD; The Full Armor of God; and The Power of Prayer. Help us to find the courage and power we need, and make our refuge in Jesus Christ our Lord. Show us how to be ready to fight all evil, and most of all, remind us that the battle belongs to the Lord. This we pray in His Majestic name, Amen!"
MESSAGE: Jesus, The Personalized WORD!
1. We stand before this portrait of Jesus in John's Gallery, mesmerized at what we see:
THE MAJESTY OF HIS INCARNATION!
a. John 1:14 says, ...we beheld His glory".
b. John, along with James and Peter, saw the glory of Jesus in Matthew 17:1-13, in the TRANSFIGURATION, when Jesus allowed the veil of his flesh to be pulled aside to reveal the glory that was concealed underneath.
c. Jesus' greatest glory, however, was revealed the day He allowed man to crucify Him as He died for sinners and rose again (Matt 27; Mark15; Luke 23; and John 19).
d. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
e. John 3:16 provides all the colors for this portrait: "For God so loved the world, that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life".
2. PICTURE THIS! One of the historic fundamentals of our faith is the vacarious atonement in which Christ died as a substitute for us, for our sins. In Gen 22:8, Abrahan told Isaac, " God will provide himself a Lamb", and God allowed a ram to be the substitiute. In John 1:29, John the Baptist, seeing Jesus coming to him said, "Behold the Lamb od God which takes away the sin of the world". Jesus was God's only acceptable sacrificial substitute for us. Oh yes! We can die for others, but Jesus died for everyone, so they could become a Christian. Are you a Christian? To Be Continued Tomorrow!
May God bless us and reveal to us the MAJESTY of the GLORY of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
In His Glory, Vic.
