Proud Mama

Wednesday, July 06, 2011

Today was my baby girl's birthday. She has turned into one of the most wonderful women I know and I thank God for her. She is so beautiful. I thought my day was going down hill after a visit to the doctor. The news wasn't what I wanted to hear. But PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!!!....My son's teacher called today to tell me how WELL he is doing in Biology and that they think the reason he didnt do well during the regular school year is because he isn't being challenged-he is bored. The teacher told me how my son interacts in class and that he is the best student in the class. He commented how quickly he was able to grasp the concepts and then extend them. Now, some might say, that's ok. Well, its God's Blessing to me. THis past school year was nearly a fight everyday--between he and us. If he wasn't doing his work, he was getting involved in mischevious activity. I didnt know whether I was coming or going. I have been praying that God would change this situation or change me in the way I handled the incidents. Today is the day, that I thank Him for grace. He has given me "a hope and a future" for my son.

Congratulations, I know as a teacher I really am happy to see students succeed. My son graduated high school by the skin of his teeth. I hope that his future can be a whole lot brighter. I pray daily for him.
