Want to get moving? ~Walk for Charity!

O.k., so I'm not a fan of walking. In fact, I don't like to go outside. However, I'm a BIG fan of helping out local charities. So, here's what got me motivated to move:

In April, I signed up to walk in the 5K "Heart Walk" for the American Heart Association
Since then, I've considered myself to be "in training."

Never mind that I weighed 310 lbs and was using a walker when I registered for the September walk. I've lost 28 lbs so far & although I still may not be able to ditch the walker in time for the 5K event, I do plan to be considerably lighter (less to haul!).

Now, I've volunteered to be on the committee for my local Food Bank's "Hunger Walk" our link is:

And, LOTS of other organizations hold walks to help raise funds. So, dust off those walking/running shoes - or get yourself a new pair!
