After much too long of a hiatus, I am back to the grind. Yesterday I realized that I haven't had a proper workout since the middle of April and it's now July!!! Of course, along with the lack of exercise I have put on a couple of pounds again. Time to get them back off! Today I started the JM 30 Day Shred. I have done it before, but only made it through 18 days. This time I am determined to push through the whole 30 days and see results!!! I took my measurements, weight, and pre-shred photos this morning. I am sick of looking at the number on the scale alone. Time to get serious and use multiple tools to evaluate results!
My goal is to finish the 30DS by 8/23/11 when I leave for a week of fun in the sun in Las Vegas with my mom and aunt (about 7 weeks from now). I don't really have any set weight goal, I'd just love to flatten out my abs even more. I'd like to lose a couple of lbs, but I am realizing more and more how silly that number on the scale is and how much more important measurements and photos are. The camera really does tell all!
Day 1 is today. I did level 1 this morning + a little Zumba for Wii. I'd forgotten how tough the first few days of the shred are! My legs were screaming at me by the end of it and after wards I felt all wobbly! Made me realize how a few months out of a good exercise routine can really pull you out of shape.
What do you do for exercise? Any particular DVD?
