Well at least the exercise does get easier!! Even at 72 years old with injury and health interruptions; I quickly work through the initial mental and physical effort to enjoy (yes enjoy!) resuming activities and exercise.
I see so many questions about trying to stay moving (motivated) with beneficial exercise. It seems there is a fear that the soreness and stress you experience getting started will always be the same. It Isn't!!
Granted it is easier for someone like myself to "get after it" after a long layoff; but the same thing applies. Just do it even when you feel like whining and thinking of excuses not to do it. You will begin to want to be active and because you get in better shape, you don't even think about the effort because it becomes who you are.
There is nothing quite like feeling energetic and physically capable and at my age now it also is a source of considerable pride.
