31 Days To Less Stress - July 2nd - Work Up A Sweat

Wednesday, July 06, 2011

SP's "31 Days To Less Stress" tip for July 2nd is,

"Work up a sweat. Exercise is one of the best ways to destress. Pop in a workout video, hope on your bike or grab your jump rope. Picture the stress leaving your body through your pores, and let it go."

tells us that exercise can decrease ‘stress hormones' like cortisol, and increase endorphins, your body's ‘feel-good’ chemicals, giving your mood a natural boost and it can take your mind off of your problems by redirecting it to the activity at hand.

Some "food for thought",

How we perceive a situation and how we react to it is the basis of our stress. If you focus on the negative in any situation, you can expect high stress levels. However, if you try and see the good in the situation, your stress levels will greatly diminish. ~ Catherine Pulsifer

Working up a sweat is something that I need to find more time for... I think that's where I could use the benefit of some time management... those organizational skills that were mentioned a couple blogs ago. :-D
