New Year's Resolution

Friday, July 01, 2011

Hmmm, it's the middle of the year: six months until 2012.

My goal/resolution/ is to definitely be in onederland by 12/31/11. In my heart of hearts, I'd love to say I'll be down 60 pounds, but I think onederland, for me, at another forty pounds to goal, is an obtainable short term goal. If I work hard, I can make this goal without being scale obsessed...

To get there I am definitely going to:
1. Continue tracking my food daily...if I bite it, I write it.
2. Continue exercising...ST 3x/week, cardio at least 3x per week

Stuff I should commit to, but can't just yet:
1. cook healthier, with new foods, "cleaner", and in smaller portions.
2. weighing my food, instead of guesstimating
3. eliminating, or severely reducing, diet soda
4. Taking a few different classes at the gym.

Any mid year resolutions out there from my friends?

By writing your goals down, you can see them and commit to them. You are on the right track.

It's great to review our goals and get ourselves back on track. I think we are on the same wave length....I have all the same as you except number 4 will have to wait until the fall for me, small town and there's no air conditioning in our rec center. So it gets way to hot for me in there. Here's to finishing the new year strong!

I've decided to REALLY concentrate on ST. It's been lacking, and now that's I've lost a good bit of weight, things are hanging... gotta firm that up! You've got some great goals, I know you'll make it!

I decided today that I want to take off 20-30 lbs by my half marathon in Dec. That works out to be 1-1.5 lbs per week. I think that's reasonable. But I am also not going to be a slave to the scale. I will also monitor measurements and how my clothes are fitting. But it's funny that you posted this today b/c I had just yesterday renewed my goals to myself and declared that I would start tracking food and activity again in order to meet this challenge.

I'm with ya! :)
