Some thoughts on goals

I was doing some reading on the comments on my page which made me think about it all last night and something really bothered me so I thought that I would blog about it today.
I noticed people mentioning "I wish I could do that.. but I can't", which bugged the heck out of me! Anyone that you see on sparkpeople, in a fitness magazine or anywhere else are NOT super human. They do not have some special skill that you do not in order to get to the goals that they set, including the body that they have. They set a goal, worked hard, did some research and put the effort into getting there. That is not saying that they didn't do it without making some sacrifices (social included) to get there, but the word "can't" was NEVER in their vocabulary. Sure there is tough days where you just want to eat a whole chocolate cake or a whole bag of chips (yes dip included) and do nothing.. but that will only get you backwards.
So those of you who are mentally not there or thinking that they "can't get to where they want, they can. There will always be people to try to push you down, tell you that you can't do something or try to make you do what they want.. but you have the ultimate control. It is your body, your mind and your goals. Own them and you can make them happen. Always remember that and think of that each day that you move to whatever your goal may be.
