I got to Washington, DC yesterday, Wednesday. Now I find it necessary to warn all of you of several things. Bring your most comfortable walking shoes as you will walk, walk, walk. Yeah, we learned to travel on the Metro but had to do lots of walking from the station to places we wanted to see.
We probably did the most walking at the zoo and were disappointed because we saw very few animals. Wanted to see the lion cubs they advertise, but never saw any lions or tigers. Our 12 year old granddaughter was very disappointed.
Tomorrow we take an all day bus tour, so that won't be so exhausting.
