I need support!

I have not been on SP for a long time due to so many things. Family, work and going to school have kept me from putting myself first. I have re-gained 25 pounds and am so upset with myself. I am doing WW at work and have been exercising again. I know I am out of shape and it makes me really mad at myself the way I let all my hard work slip away. I am going to reach my goal. I have to put myself first and remember that I am worth it!!

    Don't despair. You are only human. You will conquer this and make this a new day to be good to yourself. When you want to slack off or eat something you shouldn't just stop and say, I am better than this. One moment on the lips = a lifetime on the hips!! Your health is more important! You are more important!! Work out until you sweat! Seriously, give it your all. You will be so proud of yourself for conquering a goal. I know how easy it is to backslide when you are busy. But you are definately worth it to live the best and healthiest life ever!!! Just message me if you need a pep talk or tough talk. I have been there. If someone would have done it for me, it would have been easier!! I know what my problem is. I know what I must do. Doing it is another story. But we MUST!!!! All the best and have a great spring!!! emoticon

    Dont beat yourself up all that matters is that you never give up... Babe Ruth once said " It's really hard to beat someone who never gives up." and life is like that you fall down and you get up and brush yourself off and continue to your destination........ things happen, life happens just remember people don't fail unless they try..... best of luck to you on weight loss goals emoticon

    It's great to see you back on SP! Don't worry about the past, just concentrate on the future! Life and all of our family things, we usually put before us.     Know that you have a network of people to support you. It all starts with small steps. I regained a lot of weight last year too and I am slowly going back down. Take it one day and one pound at a time. You have done before and you CAN do it again.

    Two steps back...one step forward. As long as you make that step forward (which you have!) you are making progress.     Hi Teresa!

    You don't know me, but I was browsing through new blog posts, and saw yours. I don't like to visit a blog or a SP without saying anything. :-) I also read your cry for the waggons to be circled, and I hope it doesn't matter that I'm a stranger! I'm new on this SP journey, but I'm not new to the ups and downs of weight loss, so I know how much support and reassurance can mean when you're tempted to beat yourself up over your perceived failures.

    Don't do that!

    I'm only telling you what I tell myself, so please don't think I believe I know everything, or even most things. lol

    So that said:

    Are you panicking?

    Don't do that!

    One of the things I liked a lot about your SP was this quote:

    "Learn to be calm & you will always be happy"- Paramhansa Yogananda

    Don't panic. Don't try to make massive and sweeping changes right away, maybe. Yes, slowly get back into fitness. Right now I'm doing 30 minutes of walking most days, at the 15 min/mile pace, and I feel pretty darn good about myself. I know that soon I'll add more, like stretching and strength training, but for now, slow and steady wins the race. Right?

    Get back to drinking your water. Helps us feel full, and flushes toxins.

    Maybe just concentrate on changing one habit per week, foodwise. And of course, come back here and log. It's been instrumental for me.

    Will you lose the 25 pounds you gained back in two weeks or a month? Probably not. But every day that you treat yourself better is a good day!
