I went to check my email just a bit ago and found this in my inbox :
You donít get what you merely wish for. You get what you live for and what you work for.
The life you experience does not depend on what happens to come your way. The life you experience is based on how you choose to live it.
The priorities that matter in your life are not the ones you just talk about. Your true priorities, the ones that determine which way your life proceeds, are the ones you consistently act on.
"You have the opportunity right now, today, to bring great quantities of richness and fulfillment into your life. Yet that richness will not come from what you wish for, or what you talk about, or what you plan to do someday.
That richness will come from what you actually do with the time and the energy and the resources you have available to you. That richness will come from working the possibilities that are uniquely yours.
Skip right on past the wishing for and talking about and planning to stage. Get right to work on your best possibilities, and experience the unmatched joy of bringing them fully to life."
I have been subscribing to a newsletter called Positive Thinking. It's become very enlightening to me. I am a worry wart about many things that are going on in my life. But one good piece of info I received from Sunday's Positive Thinking-"What you become is not a result of what happens to you; it is a result of how you think about what happens to you.
Here is your antidote to worry: Choose a phrase that brings you release, relief, and empowerment, such as "Peace, be still," or "Love is the answer." Whenever worry begins to set in, consciously and meditatively repeat your positive phrase until you return to peace. "
Well my adapted phrase is "Be Still and Know That I am God". I picked it based on this poignant song www.youtube.com/watch?v=
I hope it doesn't come across like I'm just cutting and pasting my whole blog. These are things that have all affected me over the last few days in a positive way. I am at a crossroad with my feelings towards my weight loss journey and what I should do about it. So I am telling myself to just BE STILL AND KNOW. And right now, in this moment, that is enough.
