Almost forgot to blog

Today was a pretty good day! I feel as if I've been very productive. I didn't make it to the gym. But I did do quite a bit of cleaning in my house. So that makes up for some of it. I also kept my food on track today, which was awesome. And my energy is back up.

Today, I joined the Beginning Runners Club. I've taken an interest in running. We'll see how long it lasts. But so far, their goal is that your run 3 times a week for however long. I figure, why not. Just something to vary up my routine. Heading to the park in the a.m. to get the week started off right!

That's it for now. Gotta wrap up a few things then head to bed. It'll be morning again before I know it.

Oh. Side note: I saw the most amazing processional today. It was a Haitian Catholic church marching around the streets celebrating one of their Saints. I absolutely loved it. One of those things that I can be seen only in Miami (in the U.S. context of course).

so glad to hear you energy is up!! i was getting worried about you. ;)

how fun about the beginning running!!! i am trying to get back into running as well. the last time i was on the healthy wagon i did the couch to 5k program which i felt was IMMENSLY helpful, being i never ran, ever, in my whole life! its 3X a week for 10 weeks, for about 30 minutes a time. you start with just alternating running and walking, and each week you increase the amount of time you run, and decrease the amount you walk. you can basically go at your own pace, and if you want to repeat a week you are free to do that, if you felt like you weren't ready to move on. there is a SP group for it and you can also find the schedule online. they even have podcasts on itunes for free that play music and a guy tells you when you start running and when to switch to walking, so you dont even really have to bother timing yourself. anyway, that might be a good place to start if you are brand new at it! i found it to be very easy and fun. ;) i was amazed that i ended up being to run for 30 minutes straight after 10 weeks!!

good luck! i hope you have a great day tomorrow!
