Where are you? Where's the super motivated girl who started this journey? Ok maybe she wasn't super motivated, but certainly more motivated than you are now.
When I think about how far I've slidden it makes me sad, depressed and unmotivated. But I have to ask myself where are you now? Are you in the same place you were when you started? Are there any things that you are doing that are healthier than the things you were doing?
Well, no I'm not where I was. I've been able to keep some of the weight off for about a year. Well! Hey now! Good for you! Are there things I'm doing that are healthier than the things I was doing? Well, yes, a few. I drink more water, and eat less than I did when I started. I am more aware of portion size even though I don't always follow what I know. I have been choosing fruit, whole grains and lower fat options for snacks than I did. And the big thing, I am more aware of what I put in my mouth and sometimes even why. So, Whoo Hoo! Some of the good changes have stuck!
Even if you have fallen away and put back on what you started with maybe even more, there is still hope. You know things now that you didn't. You are more aware of your choices than you were. Build on those things and keep moving even if it's just a little tiny step, eventually it will get you there.
So, where are you?
