Jumping on the Meal Plan Bus

Happy Summer Solstice Everyone!!

I am having a good week so far and today I just got back from an after lunch walk. Has anyone every tried to eat the meals that they recommend on the food tracker? I am struggling with coming up with stuff to eat/make and have decided to try it. I printed the grocery list for the week, and off to the store I went. I don’t eat meat, so some of the ideas they come up with are creative to say the least (today I had ½ cup of pinto beans with my lunch!).

It’s a nice change to follow the foods they suggest, although it did take a lot of planning and preparation (for the week, and daily now). I feel much better just eating right for 3 days. Today I started my walk at lunch plan. I know I need to move.

If anyone has any comments about using the menus that they suggest, or if you have had success, I would love to hear about it. I am back on the bus so to speak, and I want to have success this time! I have approximately 20 – 30 more lbs to lose!

    I'm afraid I have no advice, as I follow my own plan - I start the day with oatmeal and a smoothie
    eat fresh veggies, non-fat yogurt and a slice of bread for lunch
    snack on an apple and either walnuts or pistachios, eat a meat and salad for dinner followed by a glass of red wine and dark chocolate...

    Thank you for the help knit1purle2lose2! I do have it set at vegetarian......that's why I was saying they have creative meal plans! Makes it much easier for me to know what to eat. Thanks for telling me how to do the settings! I appreciate it!

    I think they used to have a way you can select vegetarian meal plans, if you don't eat meat. Go to your nutrition tracker, and just under the date, click on "Tracker Options". Hmmmmm, I'm having problems with mine, because of the particular one I am on, they allow it to be customized as much. But i do know there's a way to customize it for vegetarian options!! I'll do some more poking around. Hope this helps!!!

    Yes, here it is. Go to Tracker options.

    click on change Diet Settings

    Under Meal Plan Settings, you can choose vegetarian, or not certain meats, or tofu or no tofu, etc. Then click Save Changes.
