How I lost five pounds in one day

I was sitting in the doctor's office and I was reading an article about someone who lost alot of weight. In there it said to try and walk 10,000 steps a day. I tried that yesterday and I got on the scale this morning and I lost five pounds. I was so happy. I thought to myself that I was going to continue this goal because it really works. It is great and keeps me moving throughout the day. I am going to continue my mile walks also. I am also eating healthier and controlling my diabetis. I feel healthier when I eat alot of fruits and vegetables. Thank you God for the help and encouragement.

    Talk about instant gratification! I agree, this won't happen daily, and the mechanics of it is probably a big water loss, maybe with eating better you're cutting back on sodium? However you did it, keep up the healthy habits, they're good ones!

    Of course you won't lose that much each day but it definitely is a healthy choice that will lead to more weight loss. congrats!
