Well, it's been 8 looooong months and I have lost a total of 47.5 lbs. (can I round it up to 48?). That averages out to about 6 lbs. a month....slow but sure I'll get there. I want to lose at least another 40.
I have been tracking my food every day (I might have missed only 2 or 3 days in all this time). I am definitely eating much healthier. The biggest change is that I have been exercising a minimum of 3x a week, sometimes 5 or 6 - even if it is for only 10, 20, or 30 minutes. It really helps that my husband is home with a work-related back injury and likes to cook and go for walks with me. Without his support, I think it would be a much tougher road.
I hit a 2 month long plateau, which I just recently broke - I was up and down the same 2-3 lbs. UGH :( . Oh, and another big change was that I FINALLY stopped biting my nails (which I have done all my 50+ years). I love how nice they look and treat myself to manicures once in a while when I reach a goal.
Just wanted to encourage everyone else out there to just keep sticking to it. Sometimes you get discouraged but it helps to know there are Sparkpeople out there to help. Keep Sparking!
