Started Chantix 2 days ago to help me quit smoking....hope it works1!

Been on a drug at night, an anti-depressant that also suppose to help with sleep. That is first drug I am going off. Taking every other day. No pill night one....woke up with only a little snooze and made it to work on time (7am) even with 15 mins looking for Leinie who decided to run since she was mad at me.

Took pill last night.....woke up at 5 after 7!! Slept straight thru all 4 of my alarm clocks that had been going off for almost 2 hours!!

No pill tonight.....hoping can wake in am. If I do, I will know that drug is one of the problems!

    I've struggled with bouts of insomnia for most of my adult life. I've tried a number of meds to help me sleep. Some made me zombified (my word lol). I hope things go well and you won't need anything. And best of luck with the smoking cessation. You can do this. You're worth it!

    I took Chantix... it works, but you have to want it. I started day 10 with no cigs, so I went with it. My mind thought about it and wanted it, but I had no withdraws so I didn't go buy any... In April it was a year... Good luck.

  Good method for weeding out the pesky trouble-making drug! I will be (and have been) thinking of you, and hoping for the best...

Chantix worked for me (well, I went back to smoking, but had only finished the first week, to be fair)...gave me weird, very vivid dreams. lol

You are working so hard to get/keep yourself healthy and fit--it's truly amazing and inspiring to me!

    The smoking thing is a hard one. I quit earlier this month, but after 10 days, I started up again. I was so upset that I had gained back the weight I lost....decided I would quit again once I reach my goal weight. (or close to it) I've heard a lot of people have quit with the Chantix....hope it works for you!!!

    I hate meds and take so many. I would love to get off of all of them. I quit smoking 8 years ago due to blood clots in my lungs. Now, I get my nails done as a reward. You can do it.

    I quit smoking because I bought my first car (well, with my money in my name) and didn't want it to look/smell like an ash tray. I just quit cold turkey and it has been almost 8 months! You can do it!
