Morning Workouts bite the big one....

Monday, June 13, 2011

if there's one thing that i've learned time and time again is that....I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON!!! i never have been, and i never will be. so, i should have known that telling myself that i was magically going to become one and start working out in the mornings was a big fat lie! i did, however, do it ONCE! ha! yea...i think its back to the evening workouts and runs for me. i just love the snooze button too much!

Melissa it never gets easier...I have been doing it twice a week for a year and i still hate it...lol...but after i get out of work i want to go home see kelly for a minute and then make, eat and clean up dinner...and i am pooped...if i dont do it in the morning (at least on weekdays) it doesnt happen. I am going to try getting up a little earlier and swimming in the mornings...not sure how thats going to go but we'll find out next week! One other thing is that if i workout in the morning i am better at avoiding cravings during the day cuz i dont want to mess up the hard work i already put in...and have that precious morning sleep time be lost for no reason!! emoticon emoticon

girl, any tips are appreciated!!!! i just cannot drag my butt outta bed! i've tried going to bed earlier, my husband gets up and works out, i just am like "whatever" and go back to sleep! i really want to get in the habit of running in the morning again.....that way i can come back to the house, shower, and go on with my day....and not have to "squeeze" it in at the end of the day!!!

I hear ya there! However, I made myself a morning person. Or at least I'm at the point where it doesn't KILL me to wake up every morning. It is still extremely easy to stay up all night, but I'm in a routine now (which makes all the difference, I think). I wake up at the same time every day, and I go to bed around the same time each night. I didn't have a choice. The weather here is ridiculous in the summer. If I don't wake up to workout, it won't get done. And it took over a month of forcing myself to wake up early before I finally felt okay with it.

Enjoy your evening workouts for the both of us! lol
