Now, I try to be optimistic and patient...After all, I teach middle school hormonal dramatic angels. So why can't I stomach the incompetent nature of an adult on the phone? Am I expecting too much? Obviously I am.
Situation: I am attempting to get a discounted hotel room rate which Company X does comparison rates or cancels an existing reservation if not price match. Sounds simple right? NOT!
After talking to a service rep @ Company X, the rep says, "You'll need to call back in 30 minutes." Why was I holding for about 40 minutes and finally hung up? When I ask for an explanation about why I have to call back, the rep says because he could not get into the other company's site. Mind you, I was online on both sites while we conversed.
Problem: He didn't want to honor the policy of price matching. At some point in the conversation, he lied and stated that he was out-of-state, but later said he was in state...hmmm...(personally, I think he was outsourced).
I have NO problem with outsourcing IF the company's rep is HONEST AND comprehends the customer's needs. Too much to ask? Apparently.
So...why am I still on hold...15minutes now...new call...AAAAHHHHH!!!
