Medifast Journey-Week 4 Reflections

Ok, so this was the hardest week by far-I was off a schedule now that I'm on summer break, but it wasn't eating the food that was hard, but getting enough calories to do all that I've been doing..I admit that I'm not one to sit, especially once I have 2 months to accomplish all the tasks I delay while I'm teaching, but Medifast, while it supplies 100% of the nutrients that my body needs, I'm sorely lacking the energy and overall fuel needed to go the distance..

I was down 3# this week, so after last week's no loss/no gain, I was OK with that, but again, I've been burning over 2000 calories/day-not to mention what my body burns normally just to exist, and I don't like how I've felt-dizzy, weak, etc.

So, for the rest of the summer, I'll be taking a break from the strict Medifast plan since it does not allow for 'huffing', 'puffing' or 'sweating', and I don't know how not to do that with all the projects I'm undertaking...I'm an active person and I do know how to make good food choices on my own-the Medifast plan has been great for letting me see that I can be disciplined and eat the proper foods-I like the every 3 hours and will stick with that-eating 'mini-meals' throughout the day...

I'll continue to post and make adjustments as necessary with food/exercise-the main thing is I'm not 'quitting', I've just reevaluated what works for me and my lifestyle and I just can't be sedentary enough at this point in my life to make Medifast truly as effective as I know it's programmed to be...

    Good luck on your journey, sounds like you enjoy being active. You will just have to find the right thing for you! Congrats on your weightloss so far! You are doing such a wonderful job!!!

Sounds like you are making a healthy choice by taking a break from Medifast. You know what to do and I know you can and will do it!

Commit and carry through ~ my latest mantra ~ seems to fit here!
