I'm learning. Hopefully, I'll always be learning. So far I've learned how much water I need to drink during the day, how much exercise I can do before I start to hurt myself, and that I really feel better when I eat the recommend amounts of fresh fruits and veggies during the day. Those are my three steps forward.
My one step back - well, that would have to be weekends! I really didn't do well this weekend. It was a combination of coming down with a spring cold, and not drinking enough water. By Sunday evening, I was so wiped out - simply because I hadn't taken care of my health - that I was gasping for air again. I really don't like walking up a single flight of stairs and then having to sit down when I reach the top so I can catch my breath! Of course, having the cold complicates things, I suppose. But I felt so good and energetic last week!
So, Monday begins with me back on track, and tracking my three favorite things ... food - water - exercise. I know that by the end of the week I will be feeling so much better. And I simply REFUSE to let the weekend get the better of me this time!
