Day 4

Sunday, June 05, 2011

It's been 4 days since I had my surgery. I feel fine, except for when I stoop or bend. I never realized the stomach muscles that were involved in simple tasks! I'm so blessed to have a wife who will put my sox and shoes on me! I tried to put my sox on, but felt a little tug inside that seemed to say, "No, No!" I have trouble sitting for long periods of time, so don't know how well I am going to do in church today. Two weeks of sitting is going to be hard. I haven't been able to exercise. I have gained 2 pounds! (Thanks Patti!) Don't loose any more, until I can exercise. The pounds seem to migrate towards me!

I wish I could send you my "Grab-it"! My Civitan club sold them for years,, the grabbing tool with a long handle that you squeeze.. they were invaluable when I had my hysterectomy and also when I sprained my ankle and was on crutches for 3 1/2 months.

Hi, Alan. So glad that you are recovering! Hang in there and let Patti help for a bit until you are some stronger. You are like me.......If I don't exercise the pounds come!

I'm thinking bending isn't a good idea either. Glad you are feeling well & glad you have a wonderful wife to help you. Us wives are pretty important people. Wishing you a speedy total recovery!
