Becoming more aware of the sizes of my friends

Sunday, June 05, 2011

I have always been one of the heaviest among my group of friends. Now that I've lost 25 pounds I'm coming closer to the average. Since my weight loss my friends are starting to look heavier to me. I don't think they've gained weight. Its very strange that the people I always wanted to be more like are now looking out of shape to me. I guess I was always so self conscious about my weight that I imagined others were perfect compared to me. I am by no means model material, but I guess I'm starting to feel more confident about myself. This is a good thing!

That confidence that you suddenly find is the best thing about losing weight. (Sure, it improves your health, but I find that I'm "healthier" all around when I feel good about myself.)

One of the great things about weight-loss is the self-confidence it instills in you. emoticon
