Changing things up a bit

I have been kind of low on energy lately and the back problem has really been rearing its ugly head. I sat down and talked to my coach yesterday and am going to back of of my training just a bit. I am going to continue with my Jiu Jitsu on my normal schedule, but I am only going to MMA practice on days where I feel up to it, probably once or twice per week. This will mean setting out my fight date beyond the July goal that I had, but I think ratcheting up my training more slowly will give me better odds of success.

    Hows your diet? One thing I recently was amazed about is how iron, B 12 and many of these factors can effect energy. I know we all know this but its amazing how well you feel when your using the counter provided and near the numbered goals. Being men in martial arts we tend to go "Bah! Ill just tough it out" this is good IMO to an extent but at a certain point (that point where your so tired injures start creeping up) you have to be wary. Just a thought.

    I think that's a good idea. I'd plan on trying to up your cardio on days you aren't training. It should help keep you motivated and Lord knows cardio plays a big part in MMA :)

    Pretty good plan. I have to do the same thing on my runs.
