I'm starting to take a whey protein supplement, not as a meal replacement but as a supplement. I usually don't eat breakfast until I get to the office, which at that point I've been up for 2 1/2 hours. I just don't have time, or don't want to make the time is more like it (I'd rather sleep for an extra 15 minutes). So, I thought that if I make a whey protein shake w/almond milk before I leave the house, it might help get the metabolism fired up and in gear a little earlier in the day. Any thoughts?
The husband and I are still at it - trying to train to run a 5k. It's tough, that's all I can say. And I'm sure I look a sight! Why, just last week we were on the trail and lo and behold, three deer were in a clearing off to the left. Naturally, I stopped jogging and walked past them. When my husband asked me why I stopped, I simply said, "Those deer are laughing at me." I swear, I can come up with some great excuses!
However -- last night I actually jog by a number of people and not one of them laughed . . . at least not within earshot. Eh, what do I care if they laugh or not? I'm 45, in okay shape, but will be in even better shape when I hit 46, right?? Come to think of it - let 'em laugh because that will only fuel my desire more.
