Goodbye Mexico

Friday, June 03, 2011

Today is our last day of vacation in Mexico. I SO love coming down here for a week of nothing but reflection, relaxation, and recreation. For me, this generally means a lot of reading, thinking and writing; no thoughts of work or other stressors in my normal life; and plenty of walking, walking, walking! I manage to eat healthy because I still cook my own meals, and I seem to eat less because of the climate change. All good things!

I look forward to home, friends, church, family, and my favorite canine, but I will most certainly miss the extended time I get to spend with God, whether it's laying by the pool or beach with the Bible or a good book or journaling, or walking and praying, or just meditating on the amazing cross of Christ.

Goodbye, Mexico. See you again in a few months!
