There was a whole article with quotes from local chefs and career diners (fine dining experts) about what is passe food wise. Sweet potato fries, truffle fries, anything with goat cheese, the local mussels....and the list went on. I often wonder who makes the rules for stuff. Who decides what is out and what is in? What qualifications makes them the last word in what is hot and what is not?
When I was in college we used to reply to statements that began with "They said...." with "they must be the Campbell Soup people". I don't know why we said that, I am pretty sure I coined it, and perhaps it made sense in 1969. That was before google, microsoft, amazon, and everyone that is the expert and has the last word in coolness.
Shoot we use goggle as a verb now. How silly is that? If I think any more about the ridiculousness of the times we live in, my brain will freeze. Can't have that! Can have a glass of something!
