Guess who just jogged 1 MILE NON-STOP…..

Me, that’s who! Yes, this girl just JOGGED 1 ENTIRE MILE NON-STOP. I am so happy I can barely control my emotions, the last 1/10th of the mile I was smiling from ear to ear and I did it in 9:59. You guys have no idea what this means to me. I logged onto Spark late today and saw that it was National Run Day so I was like I am going to jog as far and as longs as I can without stopping. Well, so far I have only been able to run .25 miles without stopping so I was going to push myself to do .50 miles, a ˝ mile came and I told myself to keep pushing just to see how far I could go….around .70 miles my calf muscles started to cramp a little but I was like I made it this far and I am going to make it all the way and guess what I DID IT!!!!! I have read so many times that it is mind over matter and I so believe that! I jogged outside up and down my street (I didn’t feel like driving to the track) so I jogged a slight hill a few times. I could not believe that I actually did it so I got in my car not 1 but 2 times and set the trip mileage to zero and drove back and forth up the street to make sure that I really did 1 mile and yep I did! I even had my husband to do it, LOL. I am in disbelief.

I have so many SparkFriends that are runners that I look up to and that have given me advice along the way, I THANK EACH OF YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I just had to share this news with you all….I feel so good I may just go out and jog another mile. Today I have learned that all things are possible, this (to me) is a dream come true! I will be jogging a 5K in no time.

Believe and achieve, I sure have.
Blessings to all.

Your statements that you believe that it is mind over matter is dead on and it is great that you made the decision to believe in yourself to achieve what you wanted. Way to go making the change and reaching your goal. emoticon
