Stupid cookie!!

Sunday, May 29, 2011

So yesterday I 'started' Week 1 of Phase 1 of the SBD...kind of. I ate my breakfast...scrambled eggs with mushrooms & herbs & had some water...I tried vegetable juice, yuck! LOL! Well my husband & I decided to take our daughter & nephew to the park, so my sister-in-law brought some food over for him to take to eat because he is incredibly picky! Well she got him 2 chocolate chip cookies, so when I walked in from outside he was eating one & I said "Hey where did you get that?" and I looked in the little bag and saw one more cookie so I asked if I could have it. Well, then my husband comes in & shakes his head at me & instantly I'm like "CRAP" I was NOT supposed to be eating cookies! And the worst part was my sister-in-law was standing right there as all of this happened & she's the one who told me about the SBD so she knew I wasn't supposed to eat the stupid cookie! Then the same thing happened a couple hours later at the park with the ice cream truck! :(

I suck at dieting! So anyways, I'm going to work on doing better today...

You need to quit the negative attitude - you don't suck, you just didn't make optimal choices. It happens. You just need to keep on trying.

You also need to log everything you eat - I didn't say to stay in range, I said you need to log everything you eat.

You cannot fail unless you quit.

Baby steps! Track everything you eat, the good, the bad, and the ugly, in the Nutrition Tracker. This makes you more aware of what you're eating, and when, and how many calories you're actually eating. (Sometimes it's actually not as bad as you think--but you never know unless you track it.) Focus on that, then add another step, like drinking your 8 cups of water. Step by step, one by one, you'll get there. That's how I started in January, and it's working! emoticon emoticon

Been there, too. Small steps are the key. It'll take a while to make big changes. When you fall down, it means you're human. Get back up and try it again. When I eat too much, I try to increase my activity for the day. Try adding a ten-minute walk tonight after the sun goes down tonight. emoticon You'll feel better about yourself.

Hoping for the best for you,
Claudia

I know exactly what you mean. You forget all that is going on...like dieting when those things are in front of you. Stay strong or eat in moderation. Remember each day is a new day.
