I'm feeling great this morning. I've tracked for two days, tracked EVERYTHING, and have 3 days of cardio under my belt. ON Wednesday night I was at 199. This morning when I got up, it was 192.6. I know that I won't see those results consistently, and it would be wildly unhealthy to, but it motivates me SO much. I'm drinking way more water (I've always been a big water drinker, but even more so when I'm paying attention to it), and I know that contributes to it.
Being able to focus on what I'm doing and taking care of what I need to do for myself is huge. This year at school has taken so much out of me, and I'm hoping that I can use this summer to reestablish the habits I had a few years back. I want to go back to school healthier, stronger, and more able to cope with the stress I know is to come.
The biggest challenge to my new-found focus on my health is this weekend. It's a holiday weekend, and we generally eat pretty poorly on the weekend. The challenge for me will be to make sure that I don't fall prey to the unhealthy eating. I'm going to hop in the shower after my wonderful 20-minute run, then head out to run some errands, including a trip to Sprouts for plenty of fresh yummy fruit and veggies. If I stock the fridge and have it all pre-cut and ready to eat, I'll be able to resist the temptations just a bit better, and have room to splurge a bit in the evenings. :)
