Once Upon the year 2011

I'm still feeling well after changing my thyroid med dose time, and having some teeth taken out. I have the energy, but haven't focused on working out at all. Shame on me.
Our new challenge this year, lol, is that my husband's back is out, in a bad way, and just won't go back in. He has had two surgeries approximately ten years ago and has been doing pretty well since then. Last year he was off due to stress (his employer is a major part of that stress). He returned to work for about 4 months and is now off again.
Recently, his employer has claimed that Hubby quit his job and he has cut off all his pay and insurance.
We will probably get the job back, because it was done with a bunch of hogwash and they don't have a leg stand on. If the employer doesn't willingly give in, we will have to take it to court. sigh.
The major problem with this is Hubby HAS to have painkiller and the meds are terribly expensive even WITH the insurance. Also, he has not even had his appointment with the surgeon yet. If he does indeed need surgery, how will we be able to pay for it?
Hubby is still mostly bedridden. We have a walker with a seat that he occasionally takes outside. He loves that he can sit down on it once he gets where he's going. The other day, HE sat, while directing US on planting the garden. lol
He can only stay out of bed for about 1/2 hour without being in severe pain and has to drop back into bed.
I was beginning to have chest tightness again a couple weeks ago, from the stress. I held off talking to the doctor about it, because I knew that medicine can be the last resort instead of the FIRST resort. I'm glad I did, the pains have passed and I'm fine now.
Anyway, I'm gonna try to set some time aside for me, start walking places instead of driving, so I can start trimming down.
All this rain and such we've been having has been giving me some of those bad 'pressure' headaches. ugh. My current one is about 30 hours old. :(
Funny: We received a bunch, I mean a BUNCH, of day old bread and baked goods from someone. When the kids were carrying it all into the house, my 6 year old spied something that made her QUITE happy. "Praise GOD, We've got DOUGHNUTS!" she exclaimed.
Take care everyone!
Email me, if you don't see me on here soon enough. lol
