Lesson Learned

Do NOT call my Mom when my Dad may not be around. I'll get a vicious tongue lashing.
Today I made that mistake. I called my Mom and told her how jealous I'll be of them later when they're living in Oregon with 60 to 70 degree temperatures while I'm stuck here in Maryland with 80 degrees and 100%humidity.
Next thing I know she's viciously attacking my Dad verbally to me. Now the thing is I know the whole story already from my Dad. Of course, she doesn't know that and I'm not going to volunteer that fact!
You know how I feel after all that? Happy that they're moving.

I wondered how she was taking this news. Now I know. LOL. Hopefully she will get over it.

    Ugh, family!
The best thing in the world, sometimes the most challenging.
Hope you have a great week.

Sounds like your relationship w/your dad is a little more solid than with your mom... That's not a bad thing though, I feel dads are more important than moms to a daughter especially when they're young, cuz a father sets a kind of benchmark for what type of man his daughter eventually marries... At least it seems to be true in my family, (I've got two daughters, and thank God they've married good men!)... Course I don't know your story either, so I may be way off base... Anyhow, I hope hubby is doing well, and that he's safe... Is he still overseas? If so, when's he coming back? Blessings, Ted emoticon emoticon
