Balancing Act

Feeling a bit overwhelmed today. Tired, work busy, tail draggeing. Kids anxious to have school end. One kid having a meltdown, How do I balance everything? Where do I focus my attention? How do I keepmy priorities straight?

    Sending safe hugs and happy thoughts your way. Just keep breathing and remember to take it one moment at a time. Stress and meltdowns happen, but they pass in time. Be good to you today :)

    I can only tell you YOU WILL. Reason being that is what we do, juggle, and re-prioritize and give care wherever, whenever, we can, its the wonderful topsy turvy life of a mom, wife, sister, daughter, all the wonderful titles that we as women have.

It does get overwhelming, and I have that too. When it happens anymore and I can't decide whether to scream, or pull my hair out, I take a deep breathe, say a little prayer, and think, think, think. Then I put things in order. What has to happen right now? What can I delegate to other family members around me? What can we put off for later or another day? If I can't for instance get to my spark and log my foods in the hustle of a morning, then I have a dry erase board and I will jot down or have someone jot down what I had., and post it later. I keep a note pad in my purse and when I have a minute make some notes, and to do's for later.

When I know the next day I have errands to run and will be out and about I will make sure to fill a water bottle and have it chilling in the refrigerator, pack a healthy snack lunch and brown bag it to grab and go with me in the a.m., and then I don't sabotage my mealtime doing my much needed errands, or taking the daughter somewhere after school.

Sometimes we can plan ahead and it can help to balance, sometimes spontaneous things come about and we have to be ready, and don't think you have to be "super mom", as I always use to think as well. Don't be afraid to ask for help where you can when you can. Go with the flow. You will be fine. Just breathe.

    Take a breather & meet with God. Take a day or two to focus on a plan that may work. Love on those kids, they really DO grow too fast & move on. You get one chance at it.
But in all of it, remember to be good to you too! I always forget that one. Its sooo hard as a mom, woman...we seem to put everyone first. I have to have two shirts made before Saturday for my son's 30th birthday. I haven't even cut them out. Seems when I have no time, everyone wants some. So I'm taking my own advice this morning and meeting with God, asking for help, peace and extra time? We will pray for you. That's part of what we are here for. I pray it gets better. Please take care.
