Mayday! Mayday!

Viral attack!

Toddler Mutiny!

This ship is sinking!

For the last three nights my 16 month-old has decided she needs no more than 5 hours a sleep a night! If that weren't bad enough (as you can imagine the crankiness level there) she is not content to play in her crib during any of that time and requires me or my husband to be up. We are dying. I have tried every single trick I know to get her to sleep and she just won't. F'ing. Sleep. She can't go on like this can she?

To make things work I have been assaulted by a virus. My throat is in agony, I have massive sinus pressure, and every muscle in my body aches. I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep (preferably while my child is at daycare).

But like so many mothers and especially working mothers, I have no time for illness. I have deadlines to meet and I have to hoard my sick leave for sick kid days.

I think exercise is out the window this week. It hurts to simply move much less do anything more strenuous than that. I have a very, very hard time with illness and taking the steps needed to get better. But I'm too tired to do anything but rest when I can.

Somebody, hold me. And does anybody want a job as a nighttime toddler wrangler?

OMG Benedryl for both of you!!! You can also email me your toddler at night - we keep weird hours around here anyway. xoxo Praying it gets better for you soon, babe!

Trade off nights with your hubby. Go to the couch or somewhere where you can't hear your child. Or, just pray!! So sorry... good luck, hope it changes quickly!

So sorry you are not feeling well and your toddler not sleeping is just adding to your fatigue.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Oh man. As the mother of a defiant 17 month old, I understand! I am so sorry. I don't have solutions, but I can commiserate with you. Just forget the exercise this week and get better!!

I hear your pain without even hearing your voice. I hope you like coffee because it sounds like you could use some. Thinking of you and hope you make it through the day! emoticon
