Life just keeps getting better...

Hello all! I have not been on SP much again...mostly logging food and exercise...that's about it.

Work has been insane, but I thank God I have my 12-step program and way of life to help me through stressful situations, one day at a time. I recently found out that one of the gals I work with, and have always really liked and connect a 12-stepper too! She is in now we share resources, talk about recovery and share our journey. It's wonderful to have that connection at work.

Another true blessing. I responded to an email loop request (OA loop) from someone who was looking for a food sponsor. I currently have a sponsor and I also have three sponsees, which for me is quite a bit...especially with working full time and having a family. Well, when I saw this person's email, my Higher Power was at work...I suddenly felt "compelled" to respond and offer to be of service, even with a full plate (OK, bad analogy for someone like me who is a compulsive overeater). My new sponsee and I connected and found we had a lot in common and I'm thrilled to be of service and on this journey with as her new food sponsor and she as a new sponsee! In OA we learn that we cannot keep our recovery if we don't give it away...step 12 and being of service and helping other compulsive overeaters.

I am so blessed and grateful for my life, for God, for the 12 step program and fellowship.

You just slipped past your second birthday without a mention, and were gifted with a new sponsee. emoticon
Congrats on the birthday, and on listening and responding to the call to service. I'm sure you must have heard the saying: "Service is slimming." emoticon
Happy, Happy, Happy B'day! emoticon emoticon emoticon
