Yes, some people would call them rotten! I call them overripe. And when they reach that stage I slice them, put in freezer on flat tray, then make Stepf's Soft Banana Ice Cream. I love it and the strong urge for ice cream has almost disappeared because I prefer the rotten banana ice cream. I even splurge and put 1 Tbsp. Hershey's Syrup over it.
So this week when I really wanted something sweet that is what I made.
Now if the grocery stores would just put out overripe bananas at half price, I would be thrilled.
I am sure the "no sweets" weeks have helped me lose 2 lbs. in two weeks!!!

Do you know how a politician is like a banana?
First he is green, then he is yellow, and soon he is rotten~

I can't eat bananas because they spike my blood sugar level too quickly so I just stay away from them. My DH loves them but due to the calories, he's staying away from them, too. They were, at one time, in our house constantly until the day before shopping, then they would be gone. My DH would eat them all, every week. Miss those spotted yellow things. emoticon emoticon
