Today I lifted weights and did hills on the treadmill. As I was doing this, my eyes would continually look to see how many calories I was burning. I was wondering if by I would burn as many calories walking hills as when I do a slow jog. I have also been trying the last few days to record how much food I am consuming. Anyway, I began to think about how much I must exercise to burn off the calories I consume. What an eye opener!!! I am sure I have thought about this before but I was reminded that exercise and calories are intertwined. I am sure that as I go about today that I will give considerable thought to whether or not that cookie or candy bar is worth at least 15 minutes of hills on the treadmill.
