Ordered

Thursday, May 19, 2011

So, for those of you familiar (or not) with the 4-Hour Body diet plan, Tim suggests that you go on a drug-induced binder of four supplements: Policosonal, Alpha-lipoic acid, Garlic, and Green Tea Extracts. I ordered a three-month supply yesterday evening, so once those bad boys show up, I'm golden. Of course, my dearest cannot go on this cocktail of drugs with me (I am giggling secretly on the inside) because of health restrictions listed on the warning labels....and why am I giggling to myself you ask? Well...my hubby has gotten to be rather large over the 11+ years that I've known him...he fancies himself still irresistible to women- despite the fact that he can wear his stomach as a kilt (let's be honest here...he's not the only in our house that can perform that stunt)...his answer for losing weight? stop eating so much...well, duh...if that was the answer I think I'd give Twiggy a run for her money! My dearest, darlingest husband thinks that I just need a little more self-control...which, in some aspects is true...*side story* I homeschool two of our three children. Our oldest is a bit stubborn and headstrong like her parents (in this case, two negatives did *not* make a positive)...he spent an hour with her one morning helping her do her schoolwork, looks at me in frustration and says, "how are you *not* a raging alcoholic?"...to which I replied, "I don't need alcohol...I eat..." Needless to say, in those instances, self-control would be my bff. However, my hubby scoffs at the "notion" of hormonal anything. Chocolate cravings, you say? Nonsense!!! All you need is a little self-control!! (When this comes up in conversation, I have literally drawn blood from biting my tongue...I *so* want to mention what "self-control" has contributed to his larger frame...but I don't...)...back to the inner laugh-fest I'm having...
By taking these supplements and following this new eating plan (I'm not sharing!), I hope to drop some weight and say "nah, nah, nah, nah, nah"...wow...now that I look at what I'm writing...I really don't sound like a nice person...so...if laughing at my husband's lack of weight loss, rubbing his nose in it, prancing around the room in a bikini (without others getting sick) and basically acting like a meanie are my motives for dropping the pounds, what does that say about me? I've heard stories of people who have lost a drastic amount of weight and underwent a complete personality change...is that what I'm destined for? Has it already started? yikes...

*Gailsquest: Hi there! Yeah, I saw it first on one of those morning talkshows, then again no Dr. Oz..I actually got my copy from the library and wrote myself a cheat sheat of sorts..I also ordered my supplements from Puritan's Pride because they have a special where you buy one bottle of their brand get two free. I was able to get a three-month supply for about $50 with postage! There is also a message board group on here for this particular diet--we'd love to have ya!!

Looking forward to hearing about your progress!

I`ve found this book popping up on Amazon and it sounds very interesting.
I`m jumping in with this too.
It will take a couple of weeks to get the book and supplements.
