I wish...

I'm just saying... I wish I was one of those people who is skinny without really trying. Why do I take after my chunky dad? (Yes, I'm not an idiot, I understand how genes work) And I understand that skinny people are skinny for a reason... they don't eat a zillion calories and I'm sure they exercise. Sigh. I'm just feeling like let's get the weight off already so I can be happy with the way I look!

    I know exactly how you feel. I had an assistant that couldn't gain weight no matter what she ate. Watching her eat at lunch time was always a challenge. KFC, McDs, and then she'd polish off a cake or donuts. Nothing she ate filled out her frame. She was always bones and gangly and she hated it.

Meanwhile, I'd try to make my measly salad and water last for more than five minutes.

What made matters even worse is that she couldn't exercise because when she did, she got muscle-bound rather than defined. But, she was very active. She danced and did a lot of other things. I've never met anyone like her. Most people are like us - We struggle to take it off. And when we get there it will be good.

    Sometimes, it's not a blessing to be skinny. My husband has Crohn's Disease and at any given time, drops weight like nothing. But it's because he is sick. At his lowest, he weighed 140lbs. He's now back up to a more healthy weight of 170lbs. I'm sure, without knowing his condition, there were and are many people who look at him and are envious of his size. But sometimes, we only know half of the story. I'm thankful that I have my health and don't have to struggle with a severe health condition. Believe me, going through it as a wife is hard enough. Sometimes, it's hard to understand but I'm thankful that I have weight to lose, not the other way around!

    I understand how you feel and where you are coming from but you can change this by taking one step at a time. Stay focus by exercising and eating healthily, I guaranty that you will see a change..
