I am making progress on my journey to health.
I am in my 10th week of walking. I have been consistently increasing my time on the treadmill - other than last week - with finals and everything else that was going on... I did small walking.
Today I walked my two miles in 47 minutes and burned 500 calories on the treadmill! woohoo! I love the different functions on my treadmill. I set it at the highest level of steepness (yes bad ankle and all) and lower it twice every quarter mile. I am up to 3.3 speed. I even limp-rum. Yes, I am disabled. Yes, my handicap prevents me from running running, but I push myself into a limp-run. Dragging that darn bad foot when I have to. Praying that God will help me not give in or give up.
So today when I finished my two mile walk... .. I decided to try on my new pants that are my reward for when I can fit into them (one size smaller)... I GOT THEM ON TODAY. I bought them five weeks ago, thinking i could maybe wear them around June. I am seeing progress in my journey to losing some weight and gain health!
So today - I want to encourage YOU - DO NOT GIVE IN AND DO NOT GIVE UP! Because if I can walk 2 miles 3 -4 times a week with a disability - You can do it!
Man thats great! I wish I could last that long on a treadmill. I am lucky to get a 28 to 30 minute walk in a day. But its been raining her. I find getting on the Treadmill very depressing! But a necessary evil! Glad your doing so well! GREAT PROGRESS! Susana 2169 days ago
