I Think I Drank Too Much

Monday, May 16, 2011

This weekend, Prettysundress and I went to a Craft Brewers Festival in Media PA.

It was run by Iron Hill Brewery, a local brewpub. The premise is, you buy a little mug (proceeds go to charity) and you get to wander around the festival, tasting 2-4 beers that each of the 30 or so brewer's brought to show off.

You try one... and if you don't like it, toss it into the bucket, and try something different. Then move to the next booth. There was food and a live band. Even a little bit of rain couldn't dampen the spirits (so to speak!) Prettysundress likes "hoppy" beers, and I like more "summery" beers, and there was a great mix of both. Some of the more popular beers this year were ones with a bit of fruit in the taste. I had a WONDERFUL beer with guava in it... another that tasted like a creamsicle, and my favorite was an apricot beer from a little brewery in Ithica.

I think I might have had a bit too much to drink during the course of the day. But truth is... some of the details are a little fuzzy. We had a great time tho, and came home with lots of new ideas in what we like in our beer. Now it's time to work all that beer off!

Ouch, I just can't do that anymore. On St Patty's Day, I hurt myself with Black and Tans, and shots. I think I'm getting flash back dizzy spells!
